I would like to be referred for trauma and orthopaedics to the hospital with the shortest wait.

Under the NHS Constitution, when my GP refers me for a first outpatient appointment I have the right to choose which provider I go to in England, including independent hospitals that hold an NHS contract. I would like to use that right.

The three shortest waits within 25 miles of Adur

1. Nuffield Health, Brighton Hospital (independent hospital, free on the NHS)
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 9 to 35 weeks. 7.7 miles from Adur. ODS code NT205.
2. The Horder Centre - St Johns Road (independent hospital, free on the NHS)
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 17 to 44 weeks. 23.4 miles from Adur. ODS code NXM01.
3. Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 18 to 49 weeks. 6.3 miles from Adur. ODS code RDR.
