I would like to be referred for ear, nose and throat to the hospital with the shortest wait.

Under the NHS Constitution, when my GP refers me for a first outpatient appointment I have the right to choose which provider I go to in England, including independent hospitals that hold an NHS contract. I would like to use that right.

The three shortest waits within 25 miles of Forest of Dean

1. Practice Plus Group Hospital - Emersons Green (independent hospital, free on the NHS)
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 13 to 32 weeks. 21.7 miles from Forest of Dean. ODS code NTPH2.
2. Wye Valley NHS Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 16 to 48 weeks. 19 miles from Forest of Dean. ODS code RLQ.
3. Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 25 to 44 weeks. 18.6 miles from Forest of Dean. ODS code RTE.
