I would like to be referred for rheumatology to the hospital with the shortest wait.

Under the NHS Constitution, when my GP refers me for a first outpatient appointment I have the right to choose which provider I go to in England, including independent hospitals that hold an NHS contract. I would like to use that right.

The three shortest waits within 25 miles of Medway

1. Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 6 to 12 weeks. 7.8 miles from Medway. ODS code RWF.
2. Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 7 to 31 weeks. 24.6 miles from Medway. ODS code RJ2.
3. Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 8 to 62 weeks. 13.5 miles from Medway. ODS code RAJ.
