I would like to be referred for other medical services to the hospital with the shortest wait.

Under the NHS Constitution, when my GP refers me for a first outpatient appointment I have the right to choose which provider I go to in England, including independent hospitals that hold an NHS contract. I would like to use that right.

The three shortest waits within 25 miles of Peterborough

1. North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 15 to 46 weeks. 1.1 miles from Peterborough. ODS code RGN.
2. Fitzwilliam Hospital (independent hospital, free on the NHS)
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 22 to 44 weeks. 1.7 miles from Peterborough. ODS code NVC06.
3. Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 24 to 46 weeks. 23.6 miles from Peterborough. ODS code RNQ.
