I would like to be referred for other surgical services to the hospital with the shortest wait.

Under the NHS Constitution, when my GP refers me for a first outpatient appointment I have the right to choose which provider I go to in England, including independent hospitals that hold an NHS contract. I would like to use that right.

The three shortest waits within 25 miles of Portsmouth

1. Isle of Wight NHS Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 3 to 31 weeks. 12.4 miles from Portsmouth. ODS code R1F.
2. University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 5 to 31 weeks. 17.6 miles from Portsmouth. ODS code RHM.
3. Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 25 to 53 weeks. 2.2 miles from Portsmouth. ODS code RHU.
