I would like to be referred for gastroenterology to the hospital with the shortest wait.

Under the NHS Constitution, when my GP refers me for a first outpatient appointment I have the right to choose which provider I go to in England, including independent hospitals that hold an NHS contract. I would like to use that right.

The three shortest waits within 25 miles of Swindon

1. Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre - Devizes (independent hospital, free on the NHS)
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 5 to 6 weeks. 18.2 miles from Swindon. ODS code NTPH3.
2. Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
   Most people treated in August 2026 waited 17 to 55 weeks. 2.7 miles from Swindon. ODS code RN3.
